March 8, 2012

One of our Health Leadership Fellows is currently a member of our Community Advisory Committee (CAC), which acts as the eyes and ears of the foundation at a community level.

Meet Tanya Barrett, a Connecticut Health Foundation (CT Health) Leadership Fellow from the class of 2007. Tanya is Senior Vice President of 2-1-1 Health and Human Services, a program of the United Way of Connecticut, which helps meet the needs of Connecticut residents by providing information, education and connection to services.  She oversees the 2-1-1 HHS unit and specialty units, HUSKY Infoline and Child Development Infoline.

As a CAC member, Tanya represents the Connecticut community and shares information that helps inform our strategic initiatives. In this video, Tanya discusses the impact that the program had on her, as well as her organization, and how it made her more effective as a leader.

What questions would you have for Tanya about her experience as a Fellow, then or now?
