Connecticut Council for Philanthropy

2011 - $82,000

Large-scale surveys can become important sources of data for many organizations. And, armed with these data, organizations are better able to demonstrate the impact of their work. A group of members of the Connecticut Council on Philanthropy (CT Health, Aetna Foundation, Universal Health Care Foundation of Connecticut, Donaghue Foundation, and Foundation for Community Health) have come together to fund a Connecticut Health Care Survey. The survey, which will be conducted by the University of Massachusetts Medical School, will broadly sample approximately 4,000 Connecticut residents about their satisfaction with their own health and health care coverage. The expectation is that these data will lead to a series of policy briefs to communicate the findings to decision-makers and advocates.
