Filling the Gap in Health News Coverage

CT Health places a high priority on affecting health policy and advocacy to promote better health for all of Connecticut’s residents. We strongly believe that access to quality, in-depth journalism equips advocates, policy-makers, CT Health grantees and residents with credible information to make informed decisions about the health issues that impact their lives.

Our strategy includes partnering with the media and health journalists in a variety of ways to expand public understanding of health and promote civic engagement to change health systems. To fill the gaps in health news coverage, CT Health supports training and skill-building fellowship opportunities for reporters to strengthen their knowledge of emerging health issues. In addition, the foundation also supports news media organizations to expand coverage of health issues on both the state and federal levels.
