Health Policy/Advocacy

Ensuring Long-Term Public Investment in Health

We work in collaboration with partners and stakeholders to create system-wide solutions. Because with real change, you don’t just help one person—you help hundreds. And you don’t just solve problems today—you improve health outcomes for future generations.

CT Health dedicates resources to advance innovation and knowledge of public policy related to CT Health’s mission and our priority areas. With our collaborations and partnerships, we are focused on supporting the development and/or strengthening of an organization’s capacity to shape public policy, advocate, and conduct policy research.

Public policy has an impact on how public health is valued and health care is practiced. Because of this relationship between public policy and health, we advocate for strategic investments and effective policy-making.

Among our initiatives, we seek to:

  • Provide objective health policy research. Using the most current and effective methods, we collect and analyze data, evaluate programs, summarize policy implications, identify challenges, and translate findings into suggested solutions.
  • Increase awareness of CT Health’s role as a non-partisan convener, catalyst for public policy change and advocate for increased media coverage of health and civic engagement.
