Ben Rodriguez, Program Officer will be leaving the Connecticut Health Foundation (CT Health) to pursue other interests. His last day will be April 20, 2012. I want to thank Ben for his contributions to the foundation over the last four years, especially for his important work in two of our priority areas, children’s mental health and oral health.
Ben led the children’s mental health priority area, including CT Health advocacy efforts and demonstration grants. Ben also shepherded the implementation of the Children’s Mental Health Initiative, which encompassed pilot sites in Derby, Manchester, Middletown and Waterbury to implement systems of early identification and intervention for children exhibiting behavioral health problems.
Ben also managed CT Health’s oral health priority area. Ben was involved with the development of our oral health strategic plan. He also supported our strategic objectives through overseeing research and community-based grants to promote the uptake of oral health care among pregnant women.
After his departure later this month, Lina Paredes, firstname.lastname@example.org, will be handling all inquiries around the children’s mental health and oral health grant portfolios and associated projects.
We wish Ben the very best in his future endeavors, both professionally and personally. After April 20, you can reach Ben at BenRodriguez413@yahoo.com.
