We’ve seen strong success in Connecticut with the implementation of the state’s health care coverage marketplace, Access Health CT. In fact, Connecticut was the first state in the U.S. to surpass its goals for enrollment.
Thanks to the implementation of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), more than 250,000 Connecticut residents now have access to high quality, affordable health care, including important benefits like doctor visits, prescriptions and preventative care. Connecticut residents with pre-existing conditions such as asthma, cancer and diabetes no longer have to worry about being denied coverage or facing higher prices because of their health conditions.
Tell your colleagues, friends and family about the success we’ve seen with the ACA by sharing these graphics on Twitter, Facebook and other social media channels. And make sure to tell them that #ACAworks for CT when you share these graphics.
Then, share your #ACAworks story. As we prepare to enter the second enrollment period in mid-November, we want to hear your stories. How has the ACA impacted the quality of your life? What health needs have you been able to address as a result of enrolling? How has having health insurance benefited your family?
Share your story by emailing email@example.com or commenting on this blog post. Your story could be featured in our next round of social media graphics.
Health care coverage is an important first step toward improving the health and wellbeing of Connecticut residents. Together, we can work to protect health reform in Connecticut and ensure that everyone receives the benefits they deserve. We hope you’ll help spread the word about the ways ACA is working in Connecticut.
