This organization is a recipient of the Trusted Messengers to Support Health Coverage grant and will share important information about health care coverage with their communities. The messaging activities are related to two major changes in health care coverage taking place this year: HUSKY redeterminations and new HUSKY coverage for children under age 13 regardless of immigration status.
HVCC is a behavioral health provider that also provides basic needs and transportation services in Eastern Connecticut. As one of the few providers in this part of the state, HVCC will work with patients during the Medicaid redetermination period to assure people remain insured or have access to other coverage options. HVCC will also provide messaging through their newsletter, social media and by text.
