This organization is a recipient of the Trusted Messengers to Support Health Coverage grant and will share important information about health care coverage with their communities. The messaging activities are related to two major changes in health care coverage taking place this year: HUSKY redeterminations and new HUSKY coverage for children under age 13 regardless of immigration status.
An immigrant led coalition with 30+ collaborating organizations, H4I will build upon the success of their campaign to expand HUSKY benefits to undocumented residents to assure that children who are eligible now sign up for insurance. H4I will provide important resources to many organizations including fact sheets and handouts to assure communication to the undocumented community is responsive and effective. Outreach efforts will include volunteer capacity and training, connecting with health care organizations and clinics, and networking with organizations statewide to promote a common message
