This organization is a recipient of the Trusted Messengers to Support Health Coverage grant and will share important information about health care coverage with their communities. The messaging activities are related to two major changes in health care coverage taking place this year: HUSKY redeterminations and new HUSKY coverage for children under age 13 regardless of immigration status.
This organization has strong connections with the greater Hartford Caribbean community. Its messages will include information on both the end of continuous enrollment and expansion of coverage to undocumented children. Outreach will include 1:1 work, community events, influencer campaigns, television and radio public service announcements, and collaborations with churches.
