This organization is a recipient of the Trusted Messengers to Support Health Coverage grant and will share important information about health care coverage with their communities. The messaging activities are related to two major changes in health care coverage taking place this year: HUSKY redeterminations and new HUSKY coverage for children under age 13 regardless of immigration status.
CFA will work with clients and their children to talk about both the end of continuous Medicaid benefits and HUSKY coverage expansion. The organization has significant reach in Eastern Connecticut, providing services to 10,000 children and families. Funding will support the agency’s direct outreach through printed and electronic materials.
