This organization is a recipient of the Trusted Messengers to Support Health Coverage grant and will share important information about health care coverage with their communities. The messaging activities are related to two major changes in health care coverage taking place this year: HUSKY redeterminations and new HUSKY coverage for children under age 13 regardless of immigration status.
HRA will build on their mission as an anti-poverty agency to conduct outreach to the estimated 60% of New Britain residents that are enrolled in Medicaid. Messaging will include information on the end of continuous enrollment and HUSKY coverage expansion. HRA will deploy staff that speak Spanish and Polish to deliver messaging, which will take place online, through door-to-door campaigns, 1:1 meetings, and at local churches.
