Fiscal Agent: DentaQuest Foundation. Incorporating oral health into the curriculum and training of primary care providers – including physician assistants, APRNs, pediatricians, dentists, OB/GYNs, and primary care physicians – has proven an effective means for creating primary care champions of good oral health. Two year grant.
The DentaQuest Foundation, along with the Washington Dental Service Foundation, and the Connecticut Health Foundation, comprise a funders collaborative that supports the National Interprofessional Initiative on Oral Health (NIIOH). NIIOH brings together funders and primary care and dental leaders to increase the engagement of primary care clinicians in the delivery of oral health preventive services.
