This organization is a recipient of the Trusted Messengers to Support Health Coverage grant and will share important information about health care coverage with their communities. The messaging activities are related to two major changes in health care coverage taking place this year: HUSKY redeterminations and new HUSKY coverage for children under age 13 regardless of immigration status.
An organizing network led by residents of public housing, PT Partners will reach over 3,000 Bridgeport residents with information about the end of continuous Medicaid coverage and expansion of HUSKY eligibility to undocumented residents. Information will be disseminated by training building captains, engaging a youth corps to share messages, hosting public meetings and posting on social media.
