If Life Is A Journey, The Beach Is My Destination

Today’s blog post is written by Rochel Lantz, outgoing Controller at CT Health.

It’s with much excitement and gratitude that I will be retiring this month after 12 years of service to CT Health Foundation as an employee and consultant.

I’ll be leaving to spend the winter months in Port St. Lucie, Florida with my fiancé Joel, dog Rascal and two cats – Rose and Squeaker! Looking forward to many new adventures and a life by the ocean.

It has been one of the most rewarding and challenging experiences of my career furthering the mission of the foundation and working alongside the most committed and kind people in a progressive organization with a great learning environment. Improving the health and well-being of the people of Connecticut, especially the underserved, has seemed overwhelming at times and I know the foundation has made a difference and improved the lives of many people.

I thank all the wonderful people I’ve had the pleasure of working with at CT Health for their great humor, vision, mentoring and friendship over the years. I can truly say that I looked forward to coming to work each day! I am grateful for the many opportunities presented to me by Carol Pollack, our VP of Finance and Operations, and have tremendous admiration and respect for CT Health’s dedicated employees, board of directors and colleagues.

I will always remember my years here as stimulating, challenging and with great fondness.
