This organization is a recipient of the Trusted Messengers to Support Health Coverage grant and will share important information about health care coverage with their communities. The messaging activities are related to two major changes in health care coverage taking place this year: HUSKY redeterminations and new HUSKY coverage for children under age 13 regardless of immigration status.
The Center works primarily with residents who have relocated from Central and South America, the Caribbean and Europe. It will provide messaging in Spanish and Portuguese to assure that families are aware of the expansion of HUSKY benefits for children. Work will include phone banking, social media outreach, and application assistance.
