This organization is a recipient of the Trusted Messengers to Support Health Coverage grant and will share important information about health care coverage with their communities. The messaging activities are related to two major changes in health care coverage taking place this year: HUSKY redeterminations and new HUSKY coverage for children under age 13 regardless of immigration status.
Through their patient navigator program, Waterbury Health Access Project, GWHP will use community health workers to coordinate redetermination with clients that are currently enrolled in Medicaid. Outreach will also include virtual town halls, open office hours, and a social media campaign.
