The Legal Services Collaborative consists of partner organizations The New Haven Legal Assistance Association, Connecticut Legal Services, Greater Hartford Legal Aid, and the Legal Assistance Resource Center of Connecticut. The Legal Services Collaborative has a strong history of working to preserve public health insurance program (i.e., HUSKY) funding that provides coverage for low-income residents of Connecticut, and improve access to quality health care regardless of economic status or race/ethnicity. In the face of significant state and federal budget deficits, the Collaborative is currently focused on maintaining existing benefits, including oral health services, for parents of children insured under HUSKY, children’s mental health services, and health coverage for immigrants. CT Health has supported the Collaborative since 2006.
