This organization is a recipient of the Trusted Messengers to Support Health Coverage grant and will share important information about health care coverage with their communities. The messaging activities are related to two major changes in health care coverage taking place this year: HUSKY redeterminations and new HUSKY coverage for children under age 13 regardless of immigration status.
The Alliance will build on its network of churches to reach the greater Hartford population with messaging about both coverage changes. Outreach will include connecting with people at food pantries and monthly free grocery distributions, and connecting with those experiencing homelessness and individuals in recovery.
