HARTFORD, Conn. (July 15, 2026) – The Connecticut Health Foundation has named Nordia Savage as director of grantmaking. 
Savage brings more than a decade of experience in program management, strategic planning, and partnership development. She previously served as director of jobs and economic security at The Connecticut Project, where she led strategies and collaborations focused on improving financial well-being for low-income residents. She also served as vice president of strategic initiatives at The WorkPlace, overseeing the Health CareeRx Academy, youth workforce initiatives, and building employer partnerships to expand access to career pathways. Most recently, Savage served as the Connecticut Health Foundation’s interim program officer.
Savage earned a bachelor’s degree in American studies from Williams College and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Connecticut School of Social Work. She is a licensed master social worker (LMSW) and has taught undergraduate and graduate-level courses in social work.

Savage’s first day as director of grantmaking was July 9.
