2022 Open Enrollment Toolkit

Gaps in uninsured rates persist in Connecticut, especially for Black, Latinx, and multi-racial communities. We can all play a role in making sure all people have access to health care and know how to navigate the health insurance system.

This year, annual open enrollment through Access Health CT begins on November 1st and ends on January 15th, 2022. People who buy coverage through Access Health CT can get financial assistance to discount the cost of their coverage.

Because of changes in federal and state law made earlier this year in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, even more financial assistance is available for many state residents. As a result, people who did not sign up in the past because of cost concerns might find they can get a better deal this year. For some state residents, the new Covered Connecticut program will further reduce their costs by eliminating all premiums and cost-sharing.

All of this is complicated. This year’s open enrollment toolkit focuses on sharing key details about the enrollment period and emphasizing the importance of learning your coverage options.

In this toolkit, you’ll find:

  • Key messages for open enrollment;
  • Quick links to Access Health CT;
  • 1-pagers about the 2022 open enrollment period and the new Covered Connecticut program;
  • Social media graphics for Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter; and
  • Sample social media posts
