This organization is a recipient of the Trusted Messengers to Support Health Coverage grant and will share important information about health care coverage with their communities. The messaging activities are related to two major changes in health care coverage taking place this year: HUSKY redeterminations and new HUSKY coverage for children under age 13 regardless of immigration status.
CASBHC will work through member school based health centers and parent organizations to spread the word about expanded HUSKY coverage for undocumented children. Direct outreach is planned to undocumented children who currently receive care from a school based health center. The association will also collaborate with several statewide partners, CT Oral Health Initiative, Child Health and Development Institute, FAVOR, and Wheeler Clinic to conduct outreach.
