School based health centers (SBHCs) are a vital piece of the safety net that protects our most vulnerable children. Connecticut has one of the oldest and most robust networks of SBHCs in the nation. The Connecticut Association of School Based Health Centers (CASBHC) is a membership organization that represents and supports 78 SBHCs in 18 communities in the state. Two year grant.
CASBHC is currently working on advocating for increased funding for SBHCs, cultivating bipartisan support among legislators towards child and adolescent health issues, and providing technical assistance and training to SBHCs. In the first year, this grant will provide operating support for CASBHC. In the second year, this grant will support a project related to health reform and delivery system integration.
