School based health centers (SBHC) provide immediate access to medical, oral health, and mental health services to enrolled students in the safety and comfort of their school environment. Additionally, preliminary data from Connecticut’s SBHCs indicates that adolescent males of color use mental health services at a rate exceeding other community based settings.
The CT Association of School Based Health Centers (CASBHC) is an organization that represents the 78 school based health centers in Connecticut and advocates for the health care needs of Connecticut’s school children. This grant will support CASBHC’s general operating costs.
