WNPR’s Health Reporting Initiative strives to create awareness of significant health and medical issues, as well as improve the public’s understanding of health policy that can impact their lives. To accomplish this, WNPR is committed to providing timely, in-depth reporting on key trends in local, regional, and national health news. This grant will specifically fund a health reporter, and help WNPR expand its listenership through community partnerships and live-on location broadcasts targeted to decision-makers and voters, thereby increasing civic engagement.
